After the self-introductions, a professional presentation was put on by SMUD represen-tatives: Jan Schori and Rob Landon. That was followed by Ricky Sandhu introducing the new Gaylord Restaurant with new management. Sponsors and participants of upcoming meetings and events were organized. Afterwards every-one got to enjoy Indian-inspired pizza.
The Chamber sends its sincerest condolences to the Sibia family for the loss of Tejinder Singh Sibia. He was a dear friend to the Chamber and to the community. His memory and legacy will always live on. The recent mixer at the Holiday Inn in Elk Grove was dedicated to his memory and it was attended by many of Sacramento’s most respected individuals from politicians to veterans to businessmen.
The Annual New Years was a huge success. It sold out a full month before the day and was met with wide anticipation. Those who attended described it as a great evening with great food and great raffle prizes. Members are already volunteering to sponsor next year's event.

The meeting took place as scheduled at Sher-E Punjab Restaurant. Approximately 50 businessmen from Sacramento and its surrounding areas took part. OAC president Linda Ng spoke on The Hate-Crime Awareness and Prevention Forum to be held on October 6th, 2006.
The Indo American Cultural Organization, Inc.- better known as The Gadri Babbas organization made an appeal for financial support for their Mela being held on Octtober 1st, 2006. The Response was very positive and we wish them good luck in their endeavor.
The meeting was conducted by B. Purewal and ended with a vote of thanks by Punam Malhotra, the President of IVACC.
