After the self-introductions, a professional presentation was put on by SMUD represen-tatives: Jan Schori and Rob Landon. That was followed by Ricky Sandhu introducing the new Gaylord Restaurant with new management. Sponsors and participants of upcoming meetings and events were organized. Afterwards every-one got to enjoy Indian-inspired pizza.

The Chamber sends its sincerest condolences to the Sibia family for the loss of Tejinder Singh Sibia. He was a dear friend to the Chamber and to the community. His memory and legacy will always live on. The recent mixer at the Holiday Inn in Elk Grove was dedicated to his memory and it was attended by many of Sacramento’s most respected individuals from politicians to veterans to businessmen.

The Annual New Years was a huge success. It sold out a full month before the day and was met with wide anticipation. Those who attended described it as a great evening with great food and great raffle prizes. Members are already volunteering to sponsor next year's event.

The Chamber sends its sincerest condolences to the Sibia family for the loss of Tejinder Singh Sibia. He was a dear friend to the Chamber and to the community. His memory and legacy will always live on. The recent mixer at the Holiday Inn in Elk Grove on Monday, March 10th was dedicated to his memory and it was attended by many of Sacramento’s most respected individuals from politicians to veterans to businessmen. Over 100 people attended the evening dedicated not only to our dear friend Tejinder, but also to the men and women who serve in our armed forces. Local political figures Jim Cook, Theresa Saechao, and Dr. Alan Nakanishi were in attendance along with key members from APAPA to give awards to the members of our armed forces who were in attendance.
Members who attended were also treated to a gourmet serving of Indian cooking by Jimmy's Indian Restaurant. A special thanks to G.D. Reddy, MBA and Nationwide Insurance for sponsoring the evening.
Topics That Were Discussed:
- All in attendance introduced themselves and their professions.
- Friends of Tejinder Singh Sibia shared a few thoughts and memories of our dear friend who passed away at his Sacramento home four days before the mixer.
- Plans for the upcoming year were announced.
-Awards were given to members of our armed forces by locally respected politicians and businesspeople.
