After the self-introductions, a professional presentation was put on by SMUD represen-tatives: Jan Schori and Rob Landon. That was followed by Ricky Sandhu introducing the new Gaylord Restaurant with new management. Sponsors and participants of upcoming meetings and events were organized. Afterwards every-one got to enjoy Indian-inspired pizza.

The Chamber sends its sincerest condolences to the Sibia family for the loss of Tejinder Singh Sibia. He was a dear friend to the Chamber and to the community. His memory and legacy will always live on. The recent mixer at the Holiday Inn in Elk Grove was dedicated to his memory and it was attended by many of Sacramento’s most respected individuals from politicians to veterans to businessmen.

The Annual New Years was a huge success. It sold out a full month before the day and was met with wide anticipation. Those who attended described it as a great evening with great food and great raffle prizes. Members are already volunteering to sponsor next year's event.

April's Meeting at Maharaja in Sacramento

The meeting started right on time as there was a full agenda planned. We started the meeting by celebrating the birthday of our newest member. There was cake-cutting and well wishes for him from his family and his new friends. We also had the chance to enjoy a live Fijian Hula dance. We followed up the festivities with presentatios by many of our members to a packed house. Most of them gave us valuable advice about topics in their field. Many others described the services they provide. All in all, everybody in attendance got the chance to learn what services each member brings to the table. We now know which member we can turn to for any situation. The meeting concluded with the introduction of the upcoming 2007-2009 Board of Directors, followed by dinner.

Topics That Were Discussed:
- New members were Introduced.
- An engaging and informative presentation by Trial Attorney, Amar
      Shergill.
- The official Chamber Website was unveiled by Amardeep Singh and
      Vishal V. Kaura.
- A presentation by Archana Nayak revealed that, among us, we have       an experienced Real Estate agent who can advise us on Real Estate
      purchases and investments in the 209 area.
- Sarla Paralta was inducted and introduced as President for the
      upcoming 2007-2009 term.
